Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Water-cooled engines of regal raptor comes from the old engine patent kawasaki vulcan 250
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Dear xacarrere,
Not sure why but your pictures are not rendering here in China. Would love to see your upgrades!
cheers
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
What is the water cooled 125 a copy of ?
I would like to see a Vulcan 250, there are no images of any on the internet there are of a EL250 but that is not the same engine as the Eliminator 250 is a DOHC.
Up till now it was thought that the water cooled engine was based off a Honda Rebel engine. That they bored out the cylinder and added a water cooler
If its a new engine I would like to see it…if it based on a Kawasaki I would like to be able to see the original. I find very little information on a what was called an EN 250 Vulcan just that it was offered in 1995. No images and no specification can be found on that model….the EN 400and 500 yes but nothing on a 250 version.
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Dear MJH,
It is the engine of the old kawasaki 250 ninja
This engine was built on the basis of the vulcan 500, may be that his name not be vulcan, but is like a vulcan 250 and he used the ninja
Not a rebel honda engine with liquid cooling
It's the same engine always regal raptor, not a new engine

Honda rebel engine
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/5391/motorrebel.jpg
The water-cooled engine is the same as the vulcan
air-cooled engine is the same as the engine of the honda rebel
They are different engines
Excuse my ignorance of the English language
I hope you understand me well

Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
The Ninja family starts in 1983 with various model; a ZZR-250, ZX-250, or as the GPX-250R. One of the earliest generations, the EX250-C, was given the name GPZ-250.
However the GPZ-250 had a six speed? So did the GPX-250R
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...r250r%2089.htm
I am just not finding an engine that matches, the raptures.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_Ninja_250R
The 250 air cooled Regal Rapture “before water cooled” engine specs have it the same as the Honda CMX 250 that being 53x53 and that being a 234cc…now the engine is at 320cc with a bore and stroke of 63x53.
I have to wonder about that…..
Air cooled Rapture

CMX250
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...mx450rebel.jpg
Not only that the engine keeps growing the Johny Pag versions have a 270cc engine at 57x53.…the Dadywyn keeps growing.
http://www.johnnypag.com/motorcycles...er300Specs.pdf
I have always struggled with the concept that Lifeng added water cooling to a air cooled engine, maybe the engine is now based of another design…but without some proof I am not believing it. I think they are growing the CMX and designing as the go….its now their engine.
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
This bike has the 270cc engine….its a Lifeng/dadwyn engine same as on the Johny Pag bikes.
http://www.scooterdepot.us/300cc-Mot...yle-p-448.html
When a distributor stops buying from the factory they will still sell the models to others.
They are buying the same models that others sell or other are trying to sell…it’s like chess or maybe more like Chinese checkers?
But these people are so mixed up they have it rated at 9.5kW @8000rpm, I think it has more then 13hp! The typical CMX250 with air cooling has 18hp.
The bike should offer closer to 20hp, but who knows the Regal Rapture 270cc that went through the EPA are listed at 17bhp? The new 320 are rated at 17kW or 23hp.
Then notice that scooter despots have the bike with four speed, Um that’s wrong.
Do you think the people manufacturing them are more diligent to details then those selling them…maybe, maybe not?
That’s basically the same bike for $2,900.00 delivered to your door then PAG is asking how much? $4,300.00?
http://www.johnnypag.com/motorcycles/raptorx/index.php
One factory selling to two distributors one is a friend the other is the friend they use to destroy you with?
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
My data are not official factory
Do you have official information to confirm what he says?
My informant is an expert on engines and has many contacts in China
say honda rebel engine adapted to liquid cooling is a rumor no more.
The manufacturer invests little in R & D.
Just change the displacement of the motorcycle, increasing or decreasing sizes of cylinders, pistons, etc.. the rest of the engine is the same
Patents are old, with the changes just for changes in displacement
Regal raptor motorcycles are sold worldwide with many different names
that is not fraud, is totally legal and authorized by the manufacturer
Regal raptor motorcycles are not owned by johnny pag
johnny pag Lifeng is associated with group and has also designed many models
This is the website of the manufacturer of these motorcycles and his real name is regal raptor: http://www.regal-raptor.com
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
The CMX250 is a SOHC and that engine Lifeng offers is a DOHC so the rumor can be put to rest.
Now all we need to know is the exact piece of Kawasaki nomenclature that has been resurrected.
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Dear xacarrere,
I can see from your post that your pix are hosted on imageshack.us. But the images are not rendering for me in MCM, and I am unable to render those links directly in a browser window.
All:
Is this a China firewall problem? Can you see xacarrere's pix in other countries?
Damn.
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Many thanks, MJH. These images coming through loud and clear. Some very nice-looking iron!
cheers

Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
http://powersports.honda.com/2009/re...fications.aspx
Is it just me….one engine is a SOHC with air cooling and the other is a DOHC with water cooling.
I struggled with the concept of adding water cooling to an air cooled engine and I really struggle with adding a second cam. Honda engines are highly compatible internally…but never heard of an engine family that could take and additional cam. But if the engine was designed to be expandable, then adding a cooling systems would come with an ability to add displacement.
Has Kawasaki been working in china and just not selling it’s name? I am so sure the CFMOTO sport bike is a Kawasaki and the new Hisun 250 twin looks identical to a Ninja.
My guess would be that Kawasaki is selling technical support and protecting its name?
I think that the engine could be a EX250E2.…this following website is wrong. It has it with a SOHC and a 6 speed…wrong. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...pz250%2083.htm
It is actually DOHC and a five speed….air cooled.
http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmot...m3999#sch46049
Or it could be this engine an EL250B2 water cooled.
http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmot...3388#sch440241 which is also a five speed.
This site is not reliable and bet that other sites take the information off it. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...saki_el250.htm I have found lots of incorrect specs on it.

Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8

Dear MJH,
Just curious, but are you having an out-of-body experience?
¡mi cuerpo es tu cuerpo!
cheers!
Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
Hello MJH.
No need to apologize
My friend told me that this is not eliminator motor
That engine was discontinued
the engine was wrong and replaced it kawasaki
It is an engine manufactured after
The engine was made after taking the base of the vulcan 500
Is the engine that used the old motorcycles kawasaki ninja 250
I want to find out the exact nomenclature, I will investigate and ask my informant.
Link to the history of the kawasaki ninja 250 motorcycle

Re: Restyling regal raptor DD125E-8
It’s interesting…see what you can find out.
The Eliminator 250 is an DOHC 8-valve, Kawasaki sold those in the USA as recent as 2007.
27hp and very high revving.
There is also a 125cc Eliminator and also a 175cc, the 175cc (17.02 Ps @ 8500 RPM) Kawasaki engine is sold in India as a Baja Pulsar 180.
http://www.overdrive.in/media/photog..._1280x1024.jpg
The 125 and 175 are both singles and air cooled.
There is also a Pulsar 220cc DTS-i (21.04 Ps @ 8500 RPM) that’s a modern engine!
DTS-I :
A patented technology that has made Pulsar the most followed bike both on the road and in competition R&D labs.
At the heart of every Pulsar is one of the most sophisticated engine technology India has ever built. The DTS-i System. A technological marvel that ensures maximum performance with the lowest consumption and emission levels possible.
Twin Spark:
Normal ignition system has a single spark plug. The flame front created by the spark takes some time to reach the entire combustion chamber. Hence the burning of air-fuel mixture is slow and incomplete.
In case of twin spark, two spark-plugs fire at the same time. This simultaneous firing and swirl of the air-fuel mixture results in complete combustion. This action is digitally controlled by the DTS-i system (namely the twin spark plugs, TRICS III and intelligent CDI)
Trics III:
Power and torque requirements constantly change, depending on whether the rider is cruising, accelerating or is at high speeds/max speed.
Throttle Responsive Ignition Control System - III is an intelligent system which can quickly adapt ignition timing to suit different riding characteristics.
TRICS III helps in achieving a good balance between low-to-mid range torque and top-end power.
This helps to ride easily in different conditions like flyovers, hilly areas, dense traffic and highway cruising
Intelligent C.D.I.:
The Intelligent Capacitor Discharge Ignition contains a microprocessor, which continuously senses different speeds and load on engine and responds by altering ignition timing.
Working together with the TRICSIII system, the microprocessor's memory provides optimum ignition timings for any given engine rpm, thereby obtaining the best combustion performance.
Improves fuel-efficiency and reduces engine noise and vibration through smoother power delivery.
ExhausTEC:
ExhausTEC' is a device incorporated in the exhaust system. TEC stands for Torque Expansion Chamber. It is a tuned box (resonator) fitted onto the header pipe of the exhaust.
In the lower rpm zones, the ExhausTEC helps to build a negative pressure pulse (vacuum) at the exhaust valve, thereby sucking in more air-fuel mixture into the cylinder during intake valve opening.
ExhausTEC produces high torque.
Frequent gear shifting is not required in traffic, as vehicle has ability to pull in higher gears even at lower speeds.
4 VALVE:
A typical 2 valve engine has just 1/3 combustion chamber head area covered by the valves, but a 4 valve head increases that to more than 50% area. Because of this flow area of intake & exhaust port / passages leading to valves also get increased.
This facilitates induction of more quantity of charge (air-fuel mixture) and also evacuation of all burnt gases inside the combustion chamber ensure faster, cleaner & more efficient combustion. This engine has 2 intake & 2 exhaust valves compared to 1 Intake & 1 exhaust Valve of a 2 valve engine. These valves are smaller & light weight compared to that of 2 valve engine. 4 Valves (2 Intake & 2 exhaust valves) are introduced to improve breathing means - intake & exhaust process of engine..
