Dragon Boat ride through Zhejiang 2011.
My wife and i have just returned from a 3 day ride to Anji and Lin' An and other places in Zhejiang. We covered 800 km's most of which was through the mountains. I can't really be very specific as to where we went because we simply followed a group of riders from Motor Fans. The group are really experienced and rode in formation with a leader, a guy at the back with flashing neon lights and the bigger bikes would wait at intersections for the slower bikes to prevent them from going the wrong way. I was well impressed. There were 18 bikes in total, and we had an absolute blast. I wont ramble, I'll just let the pictures do the talking....

Cool pics, thanks! And each is worth a thousand words ... wet words, actually!
Re: Dragon Boat ride through Zhejiang 2011.
Indeed, apart from all the rain that looks to have been one hell of a ride. Riding in a posse like that can be a lot of fun. Some of those pix sure look like the back of Moganshan. Lovely, lovely roads.
Question: How did your wife react to it all?
cheers!
Re: Dragon Boat ride through Zhejiang 2011.
My wife enjoyed it as much as i did. She loves the countryside and really enjoyed all the banter from the motor fans group. They're a really nice bunch and we're both looking forward to the next ride. I discovered that she's actually a lot tougher than i am, i had wet feet for 3 days and she'll tell you that i did nothing but moan.
I'll be sure to buy water proof riding boots for the next one....plastic bags and tape just don't cut it.

LJH's useless riding tip # 37:
For waterproofing at speed, only use Carrefour bags & the orange 3M duct tape.
Provided as a public service, no charge.

PS: Yup, my sweety's tougher than me too.

lol...
Here's a Youku vid of us riding down Anji mountain. It's 11 minutes but after 3 mins my wife turns the camera so the rest is shot upside down.
It's a real shame, it could have been a nice vid.
We took some shorter vids that i reckon will be more interesting, i'll post them soon.
Hope it works. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjc0MDU0NDEy.html

Nice thread, thanks for taking the time to post it.
Re: Dragon Boat ride through Zhejiang 2011.
Thanks for the post dewsnap, good to see that neither rain, broken ribs nor weary wives are keeping you off the road!
Re: Dragon Boat ride through Zhejiang 2011.
This is us crossing the Huangpu river on a little bridge in the rain. All those hours on the wooden planks doing the bike test actually paid off. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjc0MDU0NDEy.html
Another short vid of us riding in convoy up the moutain. If you look carefully you'll see two CJ750's coming down in the opposite direction. Brave men!
