Greetings from Jing'an District. Welcome to Shanghai and very much looking forward to meeting you. There are quite a few of us MCM members here in Shanghai right now, and as you can see the weather is not great for riding.
Perfect time for a (No-)Bike Night. Perhaps tomorrow (Friday) evening? Food and drink somewhere?
Unless you can bring lots of girlfriends, you might find yourself on the uneven side of the men-to-women ratio. But that's OK. We are all motorcyclists!

As for girls joining, sounds great. euphonius and I already met one girl capable of changing out spark plugs with their teeth:icon10: , but she's unfortunately no longer in Shanghai. So newcomers are more than welcome!

I have to say, we are a bunch of pathetic wimps here in Shanghai. Lulu, who rode more in her maiden ride this year than most of us ride in a year, comes all the way from Sichuan and we can't even organize a proper welcome! And it's perfect weather!
It's getting on toward six, and Lulu's probably already given up on us, but I'm bloody hungry and thirsty and this is one of most beautiful evenings in memory, so if there is anyone who is keen to show Lulu a proper welcome, there's maybe still time.
Where and when indeed!!

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for coming out today. Was a great opportunity to meet new friends and be sociable (we missed you lulu).
And also turned out to be a great spot to get together. As you know the venue was chosen because of the great motorcycle friendly parking lot out front - when management welcomes bikes, they can have my business anytime! ;)
Hope to see you guys (and gal) again soon. And for those who didn't have opp to come, nice people are always welcome in the future.

As for tonight's event, anyone who is predisposed to meet Lulu and a posse of other local MCM members, and quaff a bit of malt-based Belgian tipple, is welcome to join us. As it happens, we're crashing a soft opening event at a new establishment launched by a buddy of mine called Kaiba Tap Room. I've told my buddy, Rudy, that we are considering his fine (albeit nascent) Tap Room as a possible venue for future (No-)Bike Nights, and, hence, urged him not to spend a lot on fine china. Not that we are like all those other biker posses (the "pussy posses" that meet at Starbucks but don't ride)....

Though we'd all agreed to meet at the soft opening of a swank Belgian beer tap room in Shanghai's somewhat touristy TianZiFang zone, the cheapskates among us thought it best to tank up (and eat) beforehand. Felix arrived first and stumbled on a Dongbei dumpling diner that fit the bill perfectly. The dumplings were savory and the beers were cold and plentiful.
