Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
not a single reply ! i must admit i was lurking on your thread waiting to see the numerous
tips and all the advice you would receive for THE place to go - but nothing at all ?
the dealers list seems pretty vintage now at the rate things move in BJ . I find it hard to believe that
there isnt a soul on this forum that can adivse on where to go and look at new yamahas ? or new Jialings ?
or ? not a single motorcycle super store ? E-bikes seem to be for sale on every other street corner
but where's a fell ago to find a motorcycle ?

Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
There is a dealer with mixed brands at the junction G7 and 5th Ring in the north / northwest.
I bought my Shineray X5 there. Its just beside the cross bridge and has a big Yamaha Logo

Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Seems like it's near Shangdi.
I'd like to have a look this weekend as well. If you're up for it, we could try to go there together on Sunday afternoon (no free time this saturday).
Let me know!
Cheers,

Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
I went to Qili Motors. It was pretty cool, seems that they have quite a lot of bikes, and there are some small shops all around selling some cheaper chinese bikes. Worth to see!

Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
I was at Qili today to look at the CF-Moto 650NK as well as anything else that jumped out at me. I was checking out the shops next door and saw a couple of Benellis there.

I believe these are the two successive years; '13, '14. I am struggling with which bike to go with, not specifically the Benelli brand but also not sure which type, used, new, etc.; the 650NK, JH600, BN600, Shineray X5. I know, I know, these listed run the gamut of styles and uses but honestly, I have been reading about reliability and service on C-Moto and the shop next door to Qili had me scratching my head as to the guy's ability to maintain the Benelli. The shop looked pretty helter skelter and he gave me the price ~38,800 & 42,800. Immediately offered to start dropping the price. They said they were an authorized dealer....
Well, I am quite picky so I will keep looking around at other shops and reading the reviews. Chinese manufacture is the way to go for me at this point while living in Beijing although my U.S. H.O.G. Chapter would run me out the club if they knew what I was writing.:eek2:
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Hi,
I recommend DaTone Motorcycle Works. Its right inside the east 5th ring road riding out through Lido on Jiangtai Donglu. They have Benelli, Yamaha, Suzuki, Qingqi, Honda Goldwings, Shineray, etc. Got a guy in the shop who grew up in Canada, so no problems with translation :)
Just bought a bike there myself last week. Good service so far. Plates ready this week.
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
GJN,
Can you possibly give me a Google map link to this motorcycle shop? I see the Lido and jiang tai but not sure of the specific address.
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Is that shop on the way to Dongba....close to Mann coffee?
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
I stopped by this shop last week and was impressed - it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a nice, decent size shop. The manager I spoke to was really straightforward on prices, bikes, etc. too.

Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Datone is owned by the Dadinhengtong Group (8 outlets). Dadinhengtong is best known for its Suzuki shops just north of the 5th Ring Road (just above Wangfujing). In theory, Datone carries Dadinhengtong's "premium" bikes. It also has a little cafe in the back, and runs rides most weekends (well, it used to).
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Yes, it is the shop next to Mann Coffee shop. I stopped by today. There was a large group of Chinese riders making a stop. I must have counted twenty GS250s with a couple of other types. Good advertising as this was my first time at the shop. I have been to a few different "shops" so far and this was the first real organized shop of any size with a clean showroom and reasonable quantity of accessories. I checked out the Suzuki but I am still stuck on the adventure style of the Zongshen. I just don't see nice cruising streets necessary for the Suzuki in the "B" plate locations of Beijing and further outside the city. I did check out the smaller Shineray but it really is as narrow as the old 2 stroke motocross bikes I use to ride.
Well, starting to narrow down a buy! I'll keep reading you guy's reviews.
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Well, shows my ignorance, actually "GW250" not GS.
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
yeah he has a nice shop.. He offered his repair area to me once....nice with exhaust fans and attachment hoses....good alley in the back that could be a good swap meet location.. and as to finer roads.. the gov here is putting a lot into smoothing some roads out... most out side the city though ....but with smooth roads comes increased traffic .... I have been going west instead of north....
Re: Good dealers in Beijing?
Is there a dedicated website for qili motors? I know Pat posted one, but when i followed the link it went to a ... well hardly a website.
The other on i heard good things about was North suzuki, just outside northeast 5th ring. does anybody have any information about that? or as well, do they have a website wher eyou can view things online?
