SSR / Pioneer XF250 valve clearance ?
I'm looking for the correct valve clearance specs for a 2014 xf250. I've been searching around and finding all different numbers. I have a loud tapping noise that sounds to be coming from the valves once warm. I'd like to check and adjust the valves first before driving myself crazy. I've also heard that these motors are notoriously noisy. Can anyone that has one give me some input please. Thanks.

Similar to TU250:
IN 0.03-0.08mm (Just tune to 0.002)
Ex 0.08-0.13mm (Just tune to 0.004)

Which oil is on the bike? Some are not good enough in air cooled bike
Re: SSR / Pioneer XF250 valve clearance ?
I was given specs of .05 ~.07 intake and exhaust by the factory, but then again every Chinese motorcycle producer I've ever asked about valves has given me the exact same number. Humanbeing is right, follow the specs for the TU250, these engines are more or less identical.
I had two of these that you can read about here, I never felt the engine was excessively noisy, but they are a single cylinder air cooled engine and the giant fins on the head of the 250 seem to resonate engine noise.

Record an audio sample. I'm curious.

You do know the #1 rule on every motorcycle forum in the world is not to ask the "what oil" question? :naughty: Read your owners manual and adjust for local temp conditions.
You should run Spectro Platinum 4 Full Synthetic 15W50 $18.00 per liter.

Everything else is complete crap and spending anything less than $18 for a liter of oil is just being cheap. Spectro Platinum 4 Full Synthetic is the best oil in the world and anyone that disagrees with me is wrong.

Cheers!

Your choice of oil China-V is a very good choice !! So I for one will not argue that point !
But what I would argue is with a cheap Chinese made shit engine as most are would you benefit with the use of such a good
Brand of oil !!! IMO cooking oil would do the same job and cost a lot less as the old saying goes "you can't polish a turd "
Re: SSR / Pioneer XF250 valve clearance ?
Corn oil burns above 350 and most engines run at about 225 degrees F, LOL anybody ever researched what synthetic oil is made from.
