2013 Dongfag 250 SXR Oil change?
Hello guys,
So I just joined the Chinese motorcycle family.
I have a 250 SXR, but I cannot seem to find the location of the oil drain bolt or the oil filter.
Some places have said this bike doesn't actually have a filter.
Also, how many quartz of oil does this bike need?
Thanks in advance, looks like this will be my new home for a while. :clap:Attachment 17046
Re: 2013 Dongfag 250 SXR Oil change?
Even a manual of some type would suffice.
I've read around your forum and I found a post of someone explaining where the bolt is. But it was a 2011.
This is a 2013, and I cannot seem to find the cap anywhere. I don't want to loosen anything when this bike already vibrates like a cybian haha.
Thanks again guys.
Also, if anyone has a link where I can buy parts for this bike. I need the front left fairing, previous owner dropped her.

Confirmed, much appreciated. This is exactly what I needed thanks.
Wasn't even sure this engine had an oil filter, which it does.
Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be back. :scooter:

Also thanks for the quick reply.

id use that the term 'same' loosely... the dong fangs im nearly positive are Loncin made engines, at least for the 2012 year models, while ccw uses lifan i believe...
now while they are all clones of a similar cg modeled 250, they are hardly all the same...
for obvious differences there is the kickstart spline on the lifan, and for less obvious differences, well i found out some of them when i needed to bore out the push rod passages, head bolt holes, crackcase piston hole, and shim the cam follower in my engine rebuild...
but ya... your oil plug is in the same location... even the fool in the video aka 'Gardo' knows that much...

Thanks for all of the help.
I've been away cause I just had a little boy Sat night, Eastern time.
Spent 3 days in the hospital :cryfiddle:
After I read the post, the large flat bolt on the side of the engine seems to be the drain/filter bolt.
There isn't a drain bolt on the bottom at all.
Can't complain, you can't get more simple.
My overall review of this bike, ridden for about 150 miles, 136 when purchased.
My back break has ceased up, spent 3 hrs today trying to get the Pistons to retract.
Going down the road, a few days ago, I thought she was about to blow up.
Bogged really bad in first gear, parked and could barely push it.waited and I could move it enough to drive it home.
RE - bled the brakes, but now there's a leak somewhere.
My point is, this bike may or may not last me very long.
But when I do ride, she runs like a vibrator with fresh batteries :riding:
I'll keep updating you guys, one thing I know for sure, this bike is a needle in a hay stack to find any info.
Is there a reputable place I can buy parts? Worried I'll be waiting for a month for international shipping :yinyang:
Thanks again, short and sweet. But this bike deserves more reviews.
Re: 2013 Dongfag 250 SXR Oil change?
It has the overhead cam Honda clone engine. CB250 clone?
This parts PDF might help
http://df-motor.com/MLC/Parts%20Menu-DF250RTC(2014).pdf
I'm pretty sure it has an oil drain bolt in the crankcase.

Is there a label on the engine type and its manufacturer just above the serial number, LF-something-something for "Lifan" and LC-something-something for "Loncin"?

Heh, you are not visiting other topics. This one, branded as "Romet Ogar Caffe" is made by "Dafier", but there is also "Hanway", with the same design, but with "Yamaha" OHC engine, both from Jiangsu.

If you're looking for a service manual for this particular bike, chances are that you’ll never find one. You'll find out about the engine from one source, about brakes from another source, on the sprockets from the third and so on. But have a doubt - you'll collect all the necessary info about the maintenance and repair very soon. As Axa wrote - they are simple, so have a little patience and you’ll get all you need. :riding:

Cannot for the life of me get this brake pad to close the pads.
're bleeding will not make a difference, nothing I've tried works.
Tried switching one of the two front calipers to the back, same issue.
Now no front brakes either lol.
Why won't these 're pressurize after 're bleeding using the blender screw?

but even if you can find a model number on a label, that doesn't mean the replacement parts you find may fit all that well. that is my experience.
250RTC They evidently can have either?

You did something wrong, you may have to reverse that by connecting a line to the bleeder valve and pumping in fluid that way? I think you have air trapped in the caliber. If you cannot bleed that out through the bleeder valve, then you would need to feed the fluid in through the valve itself there are tools you can buy to do that.
I think the number one rule is to never allow that reservoir to go dry.

Re: 2013 Dongfag 250 SXR Oil change?
I had a bitch of a time bleeding the rear caliper one time on my DF. I ended up unbolting the the caliper off the bike, ( hose still on) hanging it down or up, I forget which , and using a Mityvac to get the air out.

But in this case, I find it a little strange that the CB engine vibrates so much (remember - Zero is compared it with a vibrator). :eek2:
Re: 2013 Dongfag 250 SXR Oil change?
