I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round on my CFMOTO WK650TR, my dip beam shines straight down the road although not far in front but my main beam is lighting up the trees at the side of the road way down the road making it impossible to see the Apex of the road on right handers and it is scary.
The left hand one is dip and the right hand one is main of course main is both on.

Re: I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
Hi Phil.
I have found with my last 3 CFMoto bikes that the headlights have needed to be adjusted.
Check to see if this is the case, and it is a easy fix.
P.s. "Big Phil" could be a factor with this problem.

There appears to be only up/down adjustment not left/right and it is left/right adjustment I need.
My weight would only affect up/down anyway and you are just as big as me cheeky S**

It is strange though that the left lamp ( dip ) shines down the road and the right lamp ( main ) shines to the left, it is as if the bulb connectors are on the wrong bulb.
I having to make a side stand foot as well to make stand longer lol.

Not sure if I will still have it, I am getting very scared of this bike ever since the backend came round on me at low speed, the difference in the chicken strips is clear, early ones are quite near the edge, now they are about an inch away and to top it all off the Conti back tyre has squared off at only 7000km I would have expected at least 10000 to 11000 km out of a tyre, that is what I get out of the Avon's on the Bullet.
Get a bit of smooth tarmac where the grit has worn away and it is all over the place, dealer has stopped the wobble at low speed, back wheel slightly out, still pulls to left though has done it from new, I think that is a road camber problem, it never seemed to affect handling in the past and dose not now, just me scared of it, seems OK in the wet.
Did the Ride to The Wall ( The National Memorial Arboretum ) 10hrs of pouring rain, one indicator has not dried out and the dashboard must have got some in as well little bits of condensation keep appearing in the corner.

Re: I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
Had the same problem with the Conti on the TR-G back one squared off in only 5000 km ?
Managed to get to the UK with 12.000 km covered but the back was very much on it's last legs.
Fitted the Michelin road pilot 4 GT lasted 24.000km back and nearly 30.000 km from the front.
Need to start a CF 650 TR lemon thread Phill lol
By the way what pressure are you putting in the tyres.

Are they dual compound, a guy at the club suggested getting a dual or quad compound tyre.

They do not appear to do a 160/60 R17 tyre according to Michelin Web site

Re: I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
Fit 180.55.17 on the back fits ok your back set up on the TR is the same as the TR-G .
And with the wider tyre on the back will spread the load better ?

Re: I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
Best you check on EBay Phil I am sure a Chinese company has a listing and can send to the UK but I doubt it will be the same cost as Taobao .

There are a few on Ebay but not that one, what is also good about that one is the 50-60 mm bracket that is available for mounting to the forks

Re: I think my headlights might be wired the wrong way round
Hi Phil
Open this link.
http://www.engtaobao.com/
Just search the T6 spot light here.
If not found just send the Chinese Taobao link for the parts you need and the company will order and send to the UK at a cost.
Just tried myself with the link from Taobao and the spots light come up.
You should be all sorted now.
