Shipping my bike to Kunming

Haven't been active for some time, as I was busy with work.

I'm planning to ship my ride to Kunming, any active members from the forum live in Kunming?

I need some info, I'm planning a ride to Deqen.

I'm thinking September, but I've to solve the logistic problem first.

I really don't want to avoid the part from Dongguan to Kunming...

Put the Bike in he Train and fly into KMG. Train station is rather downtown and is familiar with this. Have done so myself.

but I wanted to send the bike boxed (as you know transportation companies are not known for their handling with care in China).

Problem is, if I send the the bike boxed, I wanted somewhere to leave the box, which will need for shipping it back.

Andre, you sent by train how? any protection or just like that? Is it safe?
