There is a big shop with CJ's in Shanghai, guess that would be too far for you mate
Hm was hoping of someone private want to sell, maybe on here ...
Rick are you an engineer or otherwise versed in the mechanical trades. Because you know those CJ's have a sidecar so you can carry enough tools...
Yeah - i'm operating machinery with too many moving parts - shit is gonna break hehehe
I take it that is a helicopter. The thing is even the new parts break on the CJ. If you just want it as a curiosity and the odd Sunday ride then no problem really . But their day is past as far as being able to do any kind of long trip. Also they are very difficult to legally register now. They have a certain old timey charm to them but that wont get you home when the crank breaks.
Thanks for the advice - felix seems to have had some fun with them
want to buy alternatively my Harley side car? Build from Dyna Lowrider with attached CJ sidecar.
Yes Felix loves his.

You may have already seen that thread but those guys had three chairs "rebuilt" and then set off from Shanghai to do a lap of China. They got as far as Hangzhou before they called it quits.
When new parts are rusty and not even deburred , the fits of bearings into cases is totally hit and miss and you cant rely on your electrical system what is left but some romantic notion of riding in a leather cap.
Jimbo in Beijing converted quite a number to Bmw engines so if you see one of those it's probably not a bad bet. At least then you would only have to worry about broken wheels and suspension parts.
Interesting - ok i bite, but how to find a bmw converted one and how much for it???
