Unusual scooter / monkey bike - identification help needed
I saw this scooter / monkey bike (?) a week ago near Houhai. Never seen anything like this before. I especially like the gas tank in the frame.
Unfortunately I forgot to check out the bike more closely. Could anyone help me identify? Thanks!

It's a bit clumsy copy of Sachs Mad Ass.

This is his role model - the aforementioned Sachs

And this is probably copy of a copy.

Somehow, this reminds me of movie "Simplicity" with Michael Keaton and Andy MacDowell. :lol8:
Re: Unusual scooter / monkey bike - identification help needed
That would be "Multiplicity"

Perhaps this is the place to share this with you.
I was really convinced that Chinese motorcycle industry can no longer surprise me, and then, suddenly ...

I must admit that, not counting some grass trimmers and chain saws, I didn't saw 4T engine with smaller displacement - this one has 40 cc. Centrifugal clutch, low and hi gear, electrostarter... Common stuff.
My impression is that this twowheeler is closer to motorized bycicle than to a moped.
Either way, applause for inventiveness.

Oh I did not know that all I have to do is ask and then what I ask for actually happens? I should be careful what I ask for then.

The company offering those is Giatoan Motorcycle, they even got my request for a 110cc version.

They have a business relationship with the Grand River Group of China, a scooter Giatoan offers is called a Hazard-Haojue 125?

So now they need to contact Honda and offer to buy a license for the SOLO design….in order to import and distribute these to dealers in the USA legally. They could request a year to year license and fees based on a percentage of actual sales revenue they do not need to use of the Honda name just permission to sell the design. They could sell them online and deliver them to Honda dealers for registration, then all the licensing fees would be accountable.
I think those could become a fad here in the US and could sell well reasonably well. A strategic fad is good, if it is followed with something also appealing. In other words a fad is a good way to establish a foot print in a market. If the offerings are directed into the existing dealer networks then it only strengthen that network, it creates dealer traffic and in that opportunity for selling.
