This seems to be the best calculation of what the down-to-earth rpm/speed is:

Enjoy!
Valve specs should be .005(in) on both. Dont quote me on that but it should be no less than that.

The valve specs are 0.06-0.08 on the intake and 0.10-0.12 on the exhaust, the Speedo gear on that bike is prone to failure, so is the cable. The parts are different and the XF is F47A-17 and the XP is F47-17A….that would be 17”and 21” respectively.
Check the gear for smooth operation the speedometer should be accurate across all speeds if it is generous then it would be showing mph as it comes to a stop. Not spinning freely can cause false readings it has to be taken of and inspected.
If they are not accurate then it would be that the actual gauge is not metered to match it but it should be consistently off on all of them or it is then a mechanical failure and if its the gearing and or the cable it can be progressive and with variability.
I have a service manual...that's were I get the information.
MJH,if it's true that there are different speedos for each style of bike then I got a XP one rather than a XF. I did look at the part numbers for both style of bikes and they are the same. There is note section that show different numbers, the ones you listed. Why wouldn't the part numbers be different? Also, if the gears or cable were binding at all I would have a lower reading rather than higher.
Based on the numbers that felix gave I'm sure Qingqi installed the wrong speedo.
Different speedometer gears not the gauges themselves, they have different numbers my part book says F47-17A and it’s the speedometer gear for the XP200 yours would be F47-17 less the A? Isn’t yours black on your bike?
Who knows maybe they crossed them in the paint shop of the factory?
Oops, you're right. It's the gear box not the speedo. My bike is at my Mom's for winter storage so I'll have to check it out when I get back there. Maybe there is number on the gear that I can locate.
MJH, I'm not challenging you, but inquiring as to what manual you have, and where did they get those valve specs. I checked the gauges on the assembly line during a visit to QingQi and they were 0.06-0.08 intake and exhaust. That's a rather large discrepancy on the exhaust side :confused1:. I would be interested to know the actual spec given in the Suzuki DR200 manual.
Thanks for the insight.
Cheers!

Hello my friends!
In Brazil's manual is specified:
Intake valve clearance 0.08 ± 0.02 mm
Escape 0.10 ± 0.02 mm.
It is the same as
Admission 0.06 ~ 0.10 mm
Escape 0.08 ~ 0.12 mm
So I think all are correct
