thanks. i know Scrappy dog pretty well, you'll find thier fairly overpriced for the most part, though they are the only ones offering a complete big bore.
I'm not interested for their price but last I inquired they only had 2 sets left so...

I have been noticing more and more snowbirds in Yuma. Didn't realize summer was over other than it is not as hot as it was a few weeks ago.
Hello Everyone! I started building 2 stroke motorized bikes this summer and am now moving up to a DF250RTA. GREEN!!! It is being shipped to MO this week. I don't think I will have any serious problems titling here in Missouri.
When I think about a few performance mods, this is what I gathered so far from the board:
-NGK Plug
-K&N air filter?
-Jet kit 88->100
-38T rear sprocket
-Performance CDI
Does the bike still come with the Zongshen engine? Has anyone upgraded to the big bore kit or tried a ZS350 or ZS400?
I promise you that you will see no difference in performance by changing the plug, filter, or cdi.
seems we've all gone done this road at some point.
that said change the plug so that you can feel better the one in there doesnt break apart causing damage.
i blew out a cdi and replaced it with the cheapest 3.50$ compatible i could find on ebay, NO difference.
you will hear people say, ' i feel like my performance cdi is giving me just a bit extra. but its not, the stock is non restricted and a spark is a spark.
change the filter at your digression, but i promise you will not see any performance gain.
i believe your bike should ship with a 105 jet, that may likely be fine, but even when you do work that will validate a 115 as i had, again i promise you will not see any performance gain in that range.
if you want to try to increase flow, drill out your cat. that with your new filter you might need to bump the jet, but agian your not going to get measurable increase in performance.
unless your really big id skip the 38 tooth, i went 35 then 30 and the 30 in and of itself is by far the best operational upgrade ive made.
The only think i could do to the original 167fmm engine to get any performance increase at all was deck the head to bump the compression. but eventually the exhaust valve head will burn and fail.
its been said many times, if you want to go get any more power get another bike, that said ive recently swapped my engine for a yamaha xv250
I noticed Zongshen manufactures and overhead cam version of the 250 engine. Did your Yamaha 250 install relatively easily? I'm just thinking down the road and looking for a learning experience more than anything.
Sold the CT70 clone today and still want to sell the DF. Trying to get down to these two bikes.
