Kawasaki Heavy Industries announced in June 2012 a signing of a letter of intent to partner with Loncin Motor Co. Ltd with regard to manufacturing and sales of motorcycles in China.
Kawasaki’s and Loncin’s aim is to establish joint ventures companies for the manufacturing and sales of Kawasaki motorcycles in china.
Loncin has been manufacturing a
300cc DOHC single that is a small part of Kawasaki’s nomenclature.

This raises questions; Have the two already been working with each other?
Kawasaki is not short on creativity in its partnerships, in
Malaysia they offer both imported models and all domestically assembled models one of which is the ER6n as well as a Ninja KRR Z150 a 30hp 150cc two-stroke, they offer two lines those assembled in Malaysia and those imported.
In the
Philippians, Kawasaki also offers two line, leisure and commuters bikes. The commuters are from 100cc -175cc, they also sell a scooter that is 112cc (CHANGZHOU KWANG) they call the Curve.
The offers Kawasaki presents in different markets are in part reflected in their affiliations.
For example they are partnered
BAJAJ in India, which is now a major shareholder in KTM.
Shared model...
Boxer CT 150

The Boxer is offered in the Philippians as a Kawasaki and Bajaj in India, it retails in both markets for about $750.00 USD.
In
Tawian they are partnered with
KYMCO.
In
Indonesia they sell the same 150 offered in Malaysia as the Ninja SS they also offer a Mini KSR110, they also offer a line of step through models.
They are manufacturing many of the bikes in
Thailand and many are also assembled in other countries in Asia. Some of the Kawasaki are Bajaj model and also Kymco.
However the list of
Asia operations and partners, does not have China included.
The partnerships formed will likely be a multiparty ventures and fairly large in scale.
