Found this bike at the shop on the corner of Qixin and Wuzhong in Shanghai today. Totally unsuitable for me as the passenger seating looks very uncomfortable. Oh yeh, and they want 40000 for it :bs::eekers::eek2:. What I find interesting is the off-centre rear monoshock, which just looks weird to me. This bike has been driven around a bit, and has some serious scratches on the left front fairing.
They also have the CFmoto 250 scooters here if anyone is interested, though no 250CC motorcycles to be seen. (Hoping to find a 250 naked street bike with a variant of the Suzuki motor for under 15000 in Shanghai. I need a new bike and am very leery of the parallel twin Honda motor.)
I've been speaking to bike shop about the CF650. He reckons everyone he knows that has bought the bike, ended up selling it soon after and those who have ridden it only have bad things to say. Didn't get any specifics, but it was enough to put me off. The bike shop owner specialises in race bikes and has the retail licences for BMW and Sachs in Shanghai, so a pretty reliable source. Think it might be a YBR250 for me this summer instead.
Did you enquire about taking the CF650 for a test ride? It'd be better to get some direct feedback than just some third hand misinformation.Quote:

I haven't asked for a test drive for a long while in China. I asked about taking a Regal Raptor for a spin once a couple years ago but got laughed at. I was under the impression that this was common practice. Gotta ask Dewsnap if he ever took a DD250-G2N for a test spin at the Pubei Lu shops before he put the money down on one.
I don't have 40000 for a China bike. If I did I'd be looking at getting a JH600.
QingQi doesn't have anything other than some crappy 125/150cc farmer bikes. New Emission standards here appear to have thinned things out to the Jialing JH600, Yamaha YBR250 and some of the Regal Raptors.
Hoping others will share any info on other ≥200cc bikes if they find them.
Cheers!

Nuhaus, never asked to take the Raptor for a test drive. Closest we got was seeing the mechanic riding his up and down Pubei Lu.
His is the red 2008/9 model and looks like shit.
