Is that not next to the F-1 track?
There always was one, but disappeared when they extended the subway and made a maintancance area there.
But I heard they re-located it close by the old location.
E.
Oh sweet! Hope they can build something nice
By the way, we have Wu feng shan close to Suzhou if some guys are up to a bit of off road riding
Will be going there between 27 and 29 so if some are motivated, do not hesitate to drop me a message
Hi!
Good to see that you are still up for it
Nothing really planned for the moment... but I will go there for sure on the scheduled dates.
It is between Suzhou and Taihu so don't need special planning. I haven't been there so far but should be quite easy to spot (Can be found on google maps)
Moto kai already posted a report about it : http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...600+bike+night
If you are interested, we can meet in Suzhou.. Let's say on 27th if you are OK with it.
G'Day,
Let's get in touch closer to the date (27/01) and lets see how the weather holds up (no rain).
Got a few things planned for CNY holidays like mini Supermoto bike building and a bikers BBQ with mates during CNY but up for a few rides (no rain).
Gong Xi Fa Cai, Happy Chinese New Year!
G'Day,
Need a real dirt track? Ask Motokai, he knows the right place out in Anting near the Shanghai Automobile Museum / German Town as pictured.
The pics show Motokai and one of my mates in action......
Hey Guys!
I see this thread is a month old but still hoping its alive!
Me and some friends are in to buy one of those small midsize dirtbikes 14" - 12" and do some driving on this "mx" track that TB-Racing posted pictures at.
Anyone interested to join? And Is it legal? I kind of new here so i got a hole bunch of silly questions:)
By the way, does anyone know if theres some other MX like tracks around? Besides from this anting track and the other off-road between suzhou and taihu.
Havent driven a bike in seven months, I'm getting crazy!

G'Day,
To be honest, wouldn't call it a dirt bike track, it's a muddy field and MotoKai mention it was much nicer before.....
Hey, you can find construction sites everywhere in the suburbs!
Okey I see..
Yeah there is a lot of them but I don't know If I dare to ride there if its illegal or something.
The Police probably don't care but heard some horror stories about people getting there bikes impounded and "jail time". haha
G'Day,
Went o F1 track yesterday to catch up with a mate running the Audi R8 challenge this weekend and checked the MX track on the way back into the city, dusty now......
See GPS coordinates attached.
some action out at the Anting track 09/06: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDEwNzMwMzg0.html
30/06 MX-event Anting: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDIyNTMyMTk2.html
the MX track looks somehow different to the old one....
looks about the same to me, just a bit greener... Still needs some infastructure..... Think I will swing by tomorrow to see whats going on and the condition of the track. Have yet to decided whether to rebuild my 大白菜 or buy a new 大白菜 off Taobao... I have done the math a couple time and a new 250cc will run me about the same cost as buying the parts I need to bring the old one up to speed. Oh well decisions decisions....
having a meeting in Anting tomorrow 28/07 around lunch and might try to swing by the MX track, everyone interested to meet up to check out the track and action?
Anting MX track still in the old location, entry approx. 150m up the road from the old one, someone dug deep ruts into the access road trying to block entry.

ANy news about MX tracks? anyone has some updates about where to ride around Shanghai?
G'Day,
Had to go out to Anting yesterday and afterwards had a look at the Anting MX track on the way back, couldn't get the JL sidecar on the track due to deep trenches and ruts after the gate (the gate is only closed with a rope). Two wheeled bikes can easily enter through the green gate from the road or through the trees at the back of the track.
At the back of the track is a nice grassy area, great for a picnic ands some off-road fun at the track, we should organise a meet one weekend......
more off-road track pics.....
See pics attached, the motorbike dealer at Hunan / Yuqiao roads in Pudong has an off-road track behind the used car parking lot (near the big IKEA beside the Middle Ring Road / Pudong).
more Pudong off-road track pics, once its dry again quite keen to give it a go.....
First of all a big sorry for digging out this 1 1/2 years old thread. Apparantly there is no more information about MX tracks on this forum. Therefore my questions to everyone:
Is the Anting track still open?
Is it maintained?
Are there other (professional, maintained) MX tracks around Shanghai, Kunshan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou?
Why am I asking these questions? I am about to order my Shineray X2 from Knight Rider store, but I need to figure out which version (MX (not plateable) vs. Enduro (plateable)). I prefer to ride dirt and want to avoid too much equipment, which could only break (e.g. speedometer, turn signal, head light). However, (legal) transportation could be an issue. If there is no MX track, then there is no point in ordering the MX version and I would settle with the Enduro version. Still, I want to know, if I am missing out some serious dirt track fun or not. (Sure, one can also ride an Enduro on a track, but it's not the same.)
Related question:
How do you MXers transport your bike within China? Trailer, Mianbaoche or do you simply ride it yourself (although not plated)?
Thanks for your input.
The thing I heard is that they were actually developing it. Not sure on the details though.
If you are interested, i have a brand new bike carrier for sale (no discussion on legality ...).
Needs the 2"x2" hitch connection though.
BTW, JEEP is for sale too ... :mwink:

I'm not selling anything though!
I have been to Anting a week ago. Couldn't find the MX track at first. Then I asked a nearby resident who directed me to a MX shop on the first floor of a residential building. The shop was closed and sealed, assumingly abandoned. But I called the number on the board above the shop and the owner directed me to the hidden MX track.
Directions: when you're driving on South Ande Road, there will be a small unnamed road South of you which leads into a park area. The MX track is in the Southeast corner of the park, just bordering a huge parking for newly produced cars.
The entrance is through some trees on a hill on the left.
The track itself is in a better condition than I expected. There are just a few rocks lying around and it seems to be free. See pictures.
