Shineray X2X still available?
Hello again,
I originally wanted a grom style 125cc for fooling around but realised that I should probably get a bike that can do everything since I have very little spare time.
The Shineray X2X "seems" to be what I am looking for, but they came out in 08-09 and there is not much mentioned after 2010, what's the deal? I would think that if they copied a Honda motor and kept the horsepower low it should be fairly dependable?
Thanks,
John

Okay,
Upon further investigation the Zongshen RX3 may be getting looked into. I don't know if the English versions of these manufacturers websites are neglected but they are pretty bad. I would like to find a dealer in Shenzhen or Dongguan if possible to see them in person but
don't know where I would look?
Thanks,
John
Re: Shineray X2X still available?
They have the Shinerays and the RX3 at a dealer in Foshan, outside Guangzhou, that I've visited a few times... You're talking about two very different bikes for very different purposes. I'm looking at the RX3 but I'm waiting to see if some more information from riders' experiences comes out in the next few months before going ahead with a purchase.
Re: Shineray X2X still available?
I like the suspension of the Shinerray X2X but the fuel injection and fit and finish of the RX3. The humidity here and extreme difference in high/low temperatures would make me lean towards the EFI RX3 for Hong Kong. I guess I will keep an eye on both for more long term reports.
The RX3 just came out but the X2X has been out for years, I can't believe that there are so few reviews.

Check Chinese sites. There will be plenty of reviews. You're comparing an off-road bike with a road bike. The RX3 is a road bike with some mild off road capability.

@Hingkongjohn the x2 is very dependable mine has 18,000km now and runs fine. Probably not many reviews because the guys who own them are out riding.
The only real flaw is the crap spokes !
