G'Day Jim,
Always great to sit out at Iron Horse Saloon Beijing besides Jimbo's http://www.bmwsidecar.com for beers and burger with mates talking bikes and trips during a lazy afternoon.
Sorry to hear today your heading back to the USA after 31 years "in country" this weekend and surely will be missed by a lot of people.
:eekers:
That's a huge hit for the motorcycle community in China, very sorry to hear that. I only had the pleasure of meeting Jim once, but was super impressed with the craftsmanship on display in his workshop. Best of luck to you Jim if you read this. :goodtime: Back to New Hampshire?
Cheers

Viva Las Vegas......
Jimbo's Classic Sidecars is opening a dealership in the States, finally. It will be located near Las Vegas. Customers will now be able to order bikes without having to go through international wire transfers and importation hassles. They will be fully operational by October but can accept orders right now. They have the address and phone numbers for you next week. Meanwhile, customers can continue to place orders through the website and can pick up their bike in Nevada or have it shipped right to their door.
Based on recent bad experiences, my original comments have been removed, and best that I provide "no comment."
Details to follow in a future thread.
Ditto, never a truer thought expressed on this forum. IMHO it doesn't just apply to those of us living inside the middle kingd00m (outsiders and locals alike since there are some honest locals), but equally it applies with anyone or any entity, be it business or governmental trying to deal with or do business with/in China.
Yep, I loss for the riding community, I met Jim once in Qufu, a great guy. Asking for fair-play in business isn't going to happen in China anytime soon.
Wow, best of luck on the new adventure Jim! Good to hear you're staying in the business, your CJs should sell like hot cakes out there.
