Needed: Safety Gear, Shanghai
Anybody have any safety gear for sale in Shanghai? Need a full set, male and female. So jacket, gloves, pants, shoes, maybe back-bone things. If you have anthing let me know.
Just to give a rough idea of size I'm about 182 (6'2") kindof med-large build (84kg), shoes 44. Shes tall and thin 174 bout 60kgs, she has shoes.
If you have any old stuff that looks worse for wear but is still safe enough now's the time. we're trying to budget for our trip but the safety gear is pulling us into the red...
Any other reccomendations would also be welcome like shops for safety gear. Just had a look on pubei lu and looks like around 10000 each to get suited up. Will try the motor market on the weekend.

You'll be able to get what you need there, but it's all fake stuff, so keep that in mind as you bargain. Do you have helmets? You might also check out Dragonriders on Wuzhoung Lu near Qixin Lu. Also, don't forget Taobao.

yea found it after I posted euph, its a good thread, still would like to get second hand. the missus is going back to holland during the summer so maybe can get there.
Do you think the fakes are even worth buying? I know ill feel better with something on but will it make my landing easier or harder if I take a dive. I guess the only answer I'll find to that question is when I do it.

Need to loose some weight? Buy some fake " goretex " rubber-coated nylon motorbike clothing at the fake market / scooter market.
Get quality gear overseas or go to HK.
Ride safe, PAL
