Hi people. If I can direct your attention to the attached picture and the part circled in Red, can anyone please advice if this is the EGR valve, and if so, how is best to blank it off?
Thank you.
Mike.

It looks to me that this contraption doesn't takes any power at all - it only sucks out fumes from the head/crankcase.
Although, you can try to make blank and fit him on the head instead of this curvy pipe with the flange... and see does engine runs better.
Hi Zorge. Thanks for the advice. I have also just had confirmation just today from someone at Lexeter, that this part is indeed the EGR valve and that the bike will run perfectly well without it.
I will now look into the best way(s) of blanking it off or removing it completely.
I suppose the best way would be to make a blanking face for the cylinder head to replace the steel pipe with, and make a blank off cover for the air box and just remove the entire steel pipe and EGR valve assembly completely, leaving just the small pipe to blank off.
I think this is what I will most likely do. 100% of the people I have asked have all said that either blanking off or removing the EGR valve, in conjunction with a Carburettor re jet and a new Stainless steel exhaust system, should make the bike run a lot better and give just a little bit more power too.
Thanks again for the advice.
Mike.
