Benelli Rumors

The rumor is that the famous Italian bike brand Benelli (recently purchased by Chinese maker Qian Jiang Motorcycles) dealerships are going to open in Beijing and Shanghai to begin with, then China wide. More interestingly the prices are reported to be 60,000-70,000 (6,500-7,500 euros) Chinese Yuan on the road, much more in line with a reasonable western prices and seemingly avoiding import taxes because they are Chinese owned products, despite still being made in Italy, and the bikes will be register-able all over China.

Re: Benelli Rumors
There is a Benelli dealership around the corner from my GF's house in Shanghai. It's on the same street as the Suzuki, BMW, and Regal Raptor dealerships (gotta be one very rich dude who owns them all). The prices were pretty high I thought when I went there a few weeks ago. Regardless, the price for the plates in Shanghai is way too much for me.

It is FHL again. First they were BMW dealers (kind of failed), then HD and now Benelli and I think they also eyed on KTM.
I'll check the real price situation this weekend, it's just around the corner from my home.
