I am running a 31 tooth rear sprocket too. Any smaller and I think the hub needs to be machined down.

trexuk,
I counted the front and rear sprockets and came up with 15/32 which sure is different from your stock bike at 14/38.
I'd better go recheck my rear sprocket. Our bikes really differ in the stock sprockets. What am I missing? You must have really been geared low.
You were 14/38=2.71 ratio
Then 16/36=2.25
Now 17/31=1.82
Mine is 15/32= 2.13
Will be 17/32= 1.88
So we will end up about the same.
BTW: The Pitster Pro 125 manual is the same as mine.

I have no way of knowing if mine was geared like it was as stock or if the previous owners changed the gearing? Mine is slightly different from yours being as its a 110cc.
I ordered the 17 tooth front and a 420 repair kit in case I need to add length to the chain.
I had to remove 1 link from mine when i fitted the sprockets. Thankfully my chain had a speedlink in it, so it was quite easy. I am going to order a new chain this week as the current one runs tight and slack when you revolve the rear wheel.
I wonder, and believe if true, the Skyteam 125cc uses a Loncin or Zongshen engine which would have slight differences from the 110 in the Lifan, as Trexuk has. I do remember American Lifan had the DAX replicas in 110cc form in the US (maybe Canada), until Honda sent them a cease and desist letter (I think they sent Redcat and a few others the same letter, too, back in the mid 2000's).
Put the 17 tooth sprocket (JT Sprocket JTF252.17 ) in place of the stock 15 on the CT70 clone and it really extends first gear. Took a ride to Deal's Gap to test her out. Did run her up to 50 MPH indicated for a short spurt. Still breaking her in.

Ordered two more for the monkey bikes.
Stopped at a place where two brothers on separate bikes where killed by a single auto running wide in a curve. I put up a cross last year and someone planted some flowers under it. Nice touch probably from a family member or friend.

I would be interested to read how the sprocket on the Ice Bear works out--I figure the other Skyteam will be similar to your Skyteam DAX clone.
How far are you from 'The Dragon'?
Nice gesture on the cross part. I am amazed by how many crosses I see on trips from Yuma to Phoenix, or Yuma to San Diego!
Barnone: What size sprocket have you got on the rear?
Nice touch with the cross, sadly there are many of these road side memorials in the UK too. Thousands of people die each year on our roads.
