Looks like HONGDU stopped making motorycles a while ago... anyone know the name of the new manufacturer the CJ650 is?.
Nothing new on the bike for a while but a Chassis image has come up. It has an interesting arrangement for the rear suspension and engine cradle 100% a new bike just inspired by the old CJ look when finished.

The cj650 is water cooled. It has efi, right? It has a parallel twin engine, And a chain drive. Which of these are good changes? I've ridden quite a few CJ750 ... Will these changes make it more reliable/powerful?
I'm no expert, but I remember Felix's posts about his love of the cj750.. It being a flathead boxer engine.. Easier to fix etc.
Chain must be a bad move eh? Need to grease/clean it... External so liable to break.. Especially cos urns a china moto.. Will it come with a piddly chain?
All academic cos I love sidecars but.. In Shanghai... They'll disappear after June 2019 when the last sidecar plate expires.
What's the interest in these from you guys? Poor man's ural if you live in the states or elsewhere...
Does anyone in China plan to buy one? Be a guinea pig
