Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Yes, the handle bars are black. The only thing that looks terrible is the seat, it's like they took rubber from a kids bike tire and made a seat out of it. I'm going to try to find a seat cover. I don't know about the sheepskin yet, I may try to find something a little more tame looking.

The seat is a copy of the old BMW sprung seat.
I posted the following on several BMW forums to get some ideas. Hope the BMW guys won't get their panties in a bunch. :lol8:
"I have a Chinese bobber that has a copy of the old BMW sprung seat and was wondering if anyone knew of a seat cover with additional padding that could be placed over the seat?
Currently I have a gel pad and a sheepskin but I am looking for different ideas.

Where I was stationed in Germany we had a nice auto shop on the base where we could work on our cars and bikes. There was a guy in charge that could help with problems. Hopefully you have a shop like that on your Army post.
No electrical work on the DF other than preparing the battery and installing it. The whole job is quite simple but don't over torque the bolts and nuts. Some guys don't seem to know their own strength and strip some bolts.
BTW, Be sure and check the bike for damage in shipping before signing for it. The freight company is responsible for damage in shipping, not the seller. Pull the cardboard off the crate enough to get a good look at the bike inside BEFORE signing for the bike.
thanks man that is great advise i take my car there all the time it didnt even occur to me, it will be a few months to order it so by then the winter will be here but im okay with that because i can order parts and just look at how awesome it is, but idk how i would be able to be there when the box is delivered considering its about 5 miles away from where i work on base

You might try one of these solo seats off Ebay like I put on my CT70 clone.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
After I drained all the oil out, it only took a quart to fill it. Does that sound about right? I'm having a tough time with finding neutral also, hopefully it loosens up.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
1.1qt is what ot takes to fill
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Another thing I'm curious about is the gas tank. I filled her up, pretty close to the top and the sucker leaked like the cap wasn't even on. Maybe I filled it to high? Nuetral is still fighting me pretty bad, anybody else have that when it was brand new?
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Yea my gas leaks when it is to full also.
