Track day in China whilst on Holiday
The main reason for joining up here is I'm going to China for a couple of weeks in about 6 weeks and would love to do a track day there.
Is there any circuits you guys can recommend that are medium to fast and most importantly hire bikes & leathers lid etc ? I'll be staying the majority in Beijing and a province about 4 hours drive to the north. Although I would be willing to catch a plane to shanghai to do Zhu Hai international raceway.
Do I need some sort of license to do a track day. Going to japan about 2 weeks before and from what i've read you need licenses to do track days....
Cheers

Shanghai - Zhuhai are two different cities approx. 2000k's apart, only company i can think of that would rent bikes and proper safety gear: http://www.bg-performance.com
You might have a better change for track riding in Southern China (Zhuhai) as way more events and track days are hosted down there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuhai_...tional_Circuit + http://www.zic.com.cn/en/

info @ bg-performance.com should get your attention......
Zhuhai Circuit:have not been for years.
Shanghai F1 track:THE BEST IN CHINA WITHOUT A DOUBT, a few track days a year, not vey regular and sometimes the F1 track cancels on very short notice.
Shanghai Tianma Track: utter crap / dangerous
China has a few more race tracks like Chengdu, Ordos and Beijing Goldenport and was told they are planning a few more in the years to come.....
Use the forum search function, a few posts around about track events: http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/search.php

At Zhuhai, you can rent the whole works (bike and gear) from Track Torque, Kwik Tigi Racing, Ace Motorcycle and I think another one, but I don't know their name. The Zhuhai track is decent and affordable. They keep an online calendar to show open track days and usually they stick to it.
In Beijing, there is a track called Goldenport not too far from the airport. There is a company called DTU that I think you can rent a bike from... but I'm not 100% sure about that. The track is kind of small and not managed very professionally. Track days are infrequent and not a lot of heads-up is given.
