My First Chinese Motorcycle
Hi, Just a quick message to introduce myself. I'm Nathan, 39yr old from Guildford, UK. I've just purchased myself a new Lexmoto XTRS125 from the great guys at Right Gear Motorcycles in Slough, UK. Picked the bike up on 2nd August 2014. I'd like to know any modifications that people could recommend to maintain reliability etc. I was thinking firstly to replace the front sprocket with one with more teeth on, what would you recommend?
Re: My First Chinese Motorcycle
I don't have any experience with that make/model, but you usually can't go wrong using Loctite . . .
Re: My First Chinese Motorcycle
Loctite is not bad at all.
I think you can change front sprocket. The motorcycle will be faster, but it will be have less acceleration.
Please write us what are the first 6 numers/letters of the engine number. 156FMI? 157FMI?
I had a different motorcycle with 156FMI and i have changed the front sprocket with god effect.
Important is to change the sprocket after 3000 miles. It is better for a new engine to have at the first miles normal (slightly increased) RPM.
Re: My First Chinese Motorcycle
this is the same bike as the superbike rbp125 and skyjet sj125-23 is it not? I am already looking into sprockets and a new chain for one of these as I bought it for my nephew to learn on
