Hi Wolf,
I know Yantai very well.
Probably the main influence on why I am still in China now.
Which part of the beach front are you an about,
By Golden gulf, or more towards the Marina Hotel, or perhaps up by the Uni ?

Sounds as though it has a fraction more grunt than the 19A. Mine will reach 100-105, but I wouldn't describe it as cruising.
The rack you are having made up is for the front? It is possible to get a stock one for the back. I have put cheap taobao ABS hard panniers on mine and an adlo box. Doesn't look quite so neat, but I can now carry luggage and tools for touring. Have also put barkbusters on and been glad of them once. My next experiment is to try an off-road tyre on the front for stability when going up loose stuff, and maybe a raised mudguard like the xinggang.
Anybody have news for Yingang YG150-F engine performance? :confused1:
Graham,
I rode along the beach front of Kaifaqu (economic development zone) headed towards Penglai. Was short and sweet. Only 10 kms or so.
Lobotomous,
Can you send me the taobao link for the panniers and aldo box? I was going to get the canvas GDW side and top bags but would prefer hard ones. I didn't know about the stock rack for the back. Perhaps that is what the guys at the shop meant but it got lost in translation. Also, where did you find your barkbusters?
Cheers
Deom2i,
I had a test ride and thought it was sluggish. Although it might be normal for a 150cc, I'm not sure. The only bike I can compare it to is a QJ150-19C. It was quite low on power compared to the QJ. I'm not sure if that helps. :confused1:

Happy to oblige:
Panniers - there don't seem to be many options here. These I are the ones I got - they are small but very useful for heavy things such as chain lock and toolkit which I would rather have low down instead of up in the top box. They are solid and very cheap. The rack is kind of a bodge but it does the job. I upgraded the indicator lamps as the ones that they supply are very weak, and then put red LEDs in existing indicator stalks hooked up to the brake light. The locks are fairly crap, but when they give up I will find another way to secure them.

bark busters - I got these to fit on the stock bars with not too much trouble. Having seen real Acerbis protectors, I think these are a good, solid copy.

I got mine in a shop, but this is the same model. I think it is the biggest one. Easily fits a helmet, but no built-in stop lamp.
