Yes no good because if that's,the route to go down then just buy one in Thailand for 23.000 RMB and do the same.
But that's not my way.
Legal or no bike.
But why not consider a legal Thai CRF and miss out China ???
So that confirms my #352 above. Two times independent same statement.
I stay then with my (now reliable built) X2 at first, even its not at all comparable to a CRF250.
BTW: I have changed all engine bearings to to real Japanese ones.
On the original built in is mentioned "Japan" all over (but crankshaft bearings are from chinese brand C&U), but putting the fakes side by side with the real you see big differences at each point.(rings, cages, cage rivets) ... The rolling properties not to mention.
After starting with the new bearings the engine runs smoother with less vibration on upper RPMs and the mechanical sound in idle mode is now likeca engine should sound. Amazing.
Thanks to Barry who gave me the list of bearing specs which saved a lot of time.

It would seem that the oil cooler is back on the new version :)

Do you know if the new one is fuel injected yet.
19.5 KW from a 400cc engine not that great
When the Linfan 173FMM engine is 15 KW and is a 6 speed box.
I just can't see it does greater then 150 kmh.
If it's got EFI I buy one and try it out.
With not being abel to get the CRF Modron I think the X5 is your best bet.
I think there is a choice between carb and EFI.
I know that them Shineray "scramblers" are EFI so id imagine that X5 can be too. Im opting for a carb version.
Scared of Chinese EFI.
If it was Japanese Id prefer EFI but there were so many stories on MCM about bad EFIs. Carb can be easily fixed or rejetted. Although annoying definitely safer
Will buy a new bike prolly in the spring tho
The tire sizes on X5 are 90-90-21 front and 130-80-18 rear. I had a look on taobao and there is not much choice in this size. What other size could I fit and it would be safe? I dont have enough experience to sort it out myself.
And other question is what would that be in inches? Ive googled and some calculators say 130-80 tire is same as 2.50-3.50 tire, some that its 4.00-4.50 and others say 5.00-5.10
Im all confused
Hi Modron
Lets look at what is fitted to the Honda CRF 250L.
Make IRC.
Size. Front 3.00-21 51P
Rear 120/80-18 62.
Now guys in Thailand who are looking for better grip off road fit
Dunlop D606
I have covered over 43.000km on the IRC tyres and I like them very much not great off road and when I mean off road far worst then what you will need in China .
And I find them very good on the tarmac.
Yes the back is smaller then what is fitted to the X5 but look at the kw of the X5 and the KG compared to the CRF.
Well I hope this helps
All the best .
