Hello All. my name is Dan. I ride a 2010 Giovanni 250cc X31.
It's a great bike. Recently, some water made it's way into the engine and now it's smoking and clicking.
Getting the Rings, and valves checked soon.
I heard it was the Loncin engine, but the website say Zongshen. Is there a spot on the engine that I can look at with a NAME?
Thanks all.

Also, where can one get parts for these. The dealer I got it from is limited. I'm looking for a website.
Also, any hop ups for more speed, power, etc... The chinese bikes don't come with much documentation.
I'd like to install a head light and a brake light, but not sure the bike can take the extra accessories...
Thanks.

Hi Articmonster,
You can but a brand new crate motor from GIO for about $450. Gio doesn't sell piston/rings so you will have to buy the crate motor. There is a guy in Moncton who fixes chinese brand bikes. I will PM you his info if your interested. He will probably have the piston and rings to fit your bike.

Is the engine built to specs to GIO? I'm still learning all the Chinese brand stuff.
If it's a zongshen or loncin, can't I get from them directly?
Awaiting your PM.

Thanks SagaCanada. They just emailed me and said they only have specific parts.
Engine is out of the bike now and we are removing the top end today to asses the damage and then will contact the guy you pm'd me.
Much appreciated.
