Yingang YG3R Clutch replacement
Hello!
I am starting to think that my clutch is on the go on my YG3R, whenever I rev above 7k, I start to slip. I thought it was the oil or a cable adjustment, but I have adjusted my cable properly, even with some slack and changed my oil to Motul non synthetic, rode for about 500km and it did not do the trick, I am still slipping at high RPM. Strangely, there is still enough grip for stoplight wheelies. I must admit that I wheelie with a 5k clutch drop.
I have read somewhere that the clutches from my YG170MM engine are identical to a Honda CBR250 (the newer, single cylinder one). Is this true? If not, where can I get replacement clutches for my YG170MM?
Thank you!
Re: Yingang YG3R Clutch replacement
As I know, Yingang engine is a clone of the Honda AX1/Dominator 250 engine.
Before replacing friction plates, maybe you could try to replace stock clutch springs with a new set. Or, cheap ass remedy for slipping could be adding washer under each clutch spring, thereby increasing pressure on the plates.

Thank you! I did some research and as far as I cam tell from all the pictures I found online, the 1990 NX250 engine seems to be a match.

I ordered my clutch kit today, it was only 47 dollars. Hopefully it fits, if not, I will have to add washers to my springs.
Thanks a lot for your help!
