Hello from New Zealand! A little help sourcing some parts please!
Hello there,
I have just purchased a Keeway speed 150 motorcycle,
I believe the mother company of Keeway is Qianjiang,
I have picked the bike up as a project and need some parts but I am unable to find anything anywhere?
could somebody please point me to an international website that supplies a full range of parts for these bikes?
Or at least a similar more popular model bike that is similar/the same.
Parts required at the moment:
Clutch cable
Clutch lever on motor
Ignition barrel and fuel cap with matching keys
Kick start lever
and a few other bits and bobs
Any help would be appreciated, thank you :)

What did ebay say about the parts?
Actually, taobao is your best choice, but you'll need a "forwarding" company to do the purchase and shipping for you. There are some threads about that around here.

Thank you for the reply,
I couldnt see a damn thing on Ebay, are there any other sites that dont require forwarding?
I know Yamaha have a Yamaha ybr 125, does anyone know if parts from this might be interchangeable with my 150?

Welcome to MCM and the world of fun and interesting but almost anonymous China bikes! I'd guess there's probably a dozen different brands around the world slapped on that bike of yours, and Keeway is just one. So searching for the brand is not so useful. Krasi is right that taobao will be your best source, but it's complicated by the fact that it's in Chinese. Use the Google Chrome browser and you can have everything (roughly) translated instantly. In Chinese, try searching in Taobao.com for 钱江150 and see what comes up.
OK, I'll make it easy for you. Click here.
This thread about Lexmoto and Pulse in the UK has a very good VisorDown article about Chinabikes in the UK, and parts support there. Have a read and see if that chinesemotorcyclepartsonline doesn't help at all.
cheers!

That UK site does not have the parts for his bike, it would probably be best to go through the list of dealers in NZ for Keeway and make your request. http://www.keeway.co.nz/dealers.html
This company sells part for your bike, but they are a wholesaler you could ask them for a name of a retailer? If they will not sell you what you need..
http://jd-motor.en.alibaba.com/produ...oto_parts.html
Here is their home page…
http://www.jdmoto.com/systemparts.asp?nodecode=00010003
I would suggest you contact each dealer of Keeway in NZ, then if any tell you they do not or cannot get your parts then send them the link to J&D and suggest they order some?
You would really have trouble getting the parts you want through the use of a Taobao and an interpreter. If you cannot identify the specific part you need on the Taobao site for the interpreter, the interpreter needs you to send them a direct link to what you want, if you ask them to find it for you, they will not likely even respond to you.
If its not specifically listed then how can you find it, then if you cannot find it how can you buy it?
You would need to have pictures of each part and send them to the interpreter and they would likely ignore your inquiry.

Keeway NZ is a bit slack and the local dealers are just as bad,
However I did find a site www.engtaobao.com/ which you put the taobao link into and it sorts the rest out for you.
The best I could do for finding the right stuff was doing a google search of the engine number which was QJ162FMJ as it looks like I may need new rings in the cylinder.
Bike is not running, has spark and fuel and some compression but maybe not enough

The parts manual: http://suzumamoto2.com/descargas/emp..._2008_2009.pdf
Record the pg # & parts # , we can find somthing sutiable for ur bike in taobao.
Re: Hello from New Zealand! A little help sourcing some parts please!
Another Taobao agent to try is www.taobaofocus.com. MCM gurus like humanbeing are great at helping sleuth out stuff in Taobao, but you need to sort out the export and payment, which is what these agents do. Haven't heard of the one you found. If you do use it, please post about your experience.
There are at least two threads about taobao agents, here and here (though I don't think Taobao has anything to do with eBay).
cheers!
