We tried to buy a brand new Jialing 600 A in Suzhou from a local dealer some weeks ago. No chance. No 600 ccm, not to foreigners, no plate
Very few Jialing dealers in China, and many of those only have smaller displacements. We in Shanghai have all bought directly from Chongqing, via a local agent. The JH600 would be an excellent ride in Shandong. PM me if you want factory contacts.
And TB-Racing recently bought the JH600 solo, so he can give you the current pricing. It's in the mid-30k range.
Here's one for sale in Jiangsu, via Taobao.
This looks like the factory site.
Hi Euphonius,
Thanks for the 2 links.
Much appreciation.
Shandong seems to be quite easy going, and without too much in the line of licence restrictions.
Let's see how our summer holiday pans out.
It's either another Europe tour with the Land Cruiser and the caravan, or roof tent and fridges, and off to Mongolia.

It has been almost 3 years but my JH600 came direct from the factory. It actually was not too painful. It is not all bad to go direct to the factory. I had it delivered to a local shop. If you go this route, I would make sure your local shop does not do anything until you are present. Anyway, if you buy one,I can tell you the JH600 has been pretty good to me. Biggest issues I have had were local mechanics. I now have decent mechanic and things are OK. (knock on wood)
I have contacted several manufacturers about big cc bikes, only to be rejected by virtually all of them..um, unless you want to buy 10 at a time. They get a virtual 90% rebate on taxes for exports so many companies only desire to export and use Hong Kong shell companies to sell in the Mainland. I showed a Chinese sport bike to a local shop and asked if he could get me one, his reply was what company do you want to buy it from?
Evidently the bike I showed him is nothing more than a fairing kit bolted to "a bike" of your choosing...I should not have been surprised.
Graham, the CFMOTO should be very easy to plate in Shandong. Not sure about the Jialing. I'd try the Qingdao or Jinan agents, I doubt any smaller city agents have the connections to sort things out.
Dear Graham,
I'll PM you contacts for three guys who can help you find an appropriate Jialing agent in Shandong, as I assume you don't have a Jialing dealer there in Weifang. These are our agent here in Shanghai, a service/repair agent in Anhui and the head of marketing for Jialing in Chonqing. None speaks English...
