Noob quad rider. '06 jetmoto Zongshen 197cc water cooled
Hey folks,
New guy here, just dropping in to say hi before I jump right into bugging people for help with my quad. Picked up a non-working '06 Jetmoto sport quad with a Zongshen 197cc water cooled motor for 200$ a month ago. Once the wiring rats nest was sorted out it ran decent enough. Still need to put a bigger jet and tune the carb, but right now I've got a cooling issue I'll be posting about in the appropriate section once I find it.
Here's a pic once I got it running, before I took it apart again.

Re: Noob quad rider. '06 jetmoto Zongshen 197cc water cooled
Jetmoto was my first Chinabike...in 2006, there were several brands of Chinese bikes on ebay, and I took the plunge and bought a $1k enduro. Had some ups, several downs, but if I knew then what I know now, I might still be riding it!
I am wondering with cheap, running Chinese bikes all over craigslist in California, would it be worth going with an aircooled 200cc? I see many 200cc enduros on L. A.‘s Craiglist for cheap because they cannot be street registered there. I bought my TMEC 200 enduro because the guy had bought it from a friend who was producing a MTV show in which it was going to be destroyed, but they ended up destroying a quad instead. The guy put a fake 'new' dealer paper plate and pretended it was a new bike, lol.

Join www.chinariders.net as well; many of us are members there, and that site is more N. American based, and are more familiar with the US and Canadian Chinese bikes.
Also, I am friends with the owner of a Chino, Cal. distributor, Excalibur Motorsports. www.atv4usa.com They might have parts or a new engine. They distribute the TMEC 200 enduro, which uses a Zongshen engine like the Jetmotos did. Call them 909-591-8800 and ask for Alan Tang (parts guy) or Wade Liu (owner).
