its just a little bit less than the distance from the pin to the head.
you are welcome.
why do you want to know?
are you planning to use a different piston?
Thanks for your replies. Zhu: I am interested in using a crf 230 piston in my chinese cb250 engine. They are the same bore and stroke but I think the compression height is a little less on the crf piston.
Humanbeing: Where did you find this info? It's great. However, is this a picture of a crf piston or a chinese piston? Just had a better look and it's a chinese one, I think the compression height for the crf piston is a little lower than the cb250 piston. I want to try a high comp honda piston but I thought the lower comp height of the high comp piston might be necessary for it to work but if it's the same as a stock crf piston there's probably nothing for me to gain out of it.
Would you guys know if the chinese make a High comp piston for this engine?
Thanks again, Gus.
Found in a Taiwanese maker http://www.jccpiston.com/comm/upfile/d_120417_06359.xls
Difference btw CRF230F "ME09" (KFB) is 0.2mm. Chinese 223 is based on the domestic "MD33" (SL) version.
The Japanese soultion is 67mm kit.
