IMO Peugeot need a different strategy 'cause the Peugeot scooter line-up I saw in the CIMA Peugeot display looked kinda old stale Italian/Euro styling, & the display itself was outdoors between halls N7 & N8. Kymco was also out in the same quadrant, and with the grey/wet gloomy weather outdoors, the two foreign brands blended in with the local 'Ma & Pa' brands that were in the same location. No bright lights, no female models and a low scale/budget feel in that quadrant.
Kymco's line-up is very limited..a lot of boy racer small scooters...but I have one that looks European/vespa sort of, and eveyone I have talked with about Kymco is that they never have problems as I have not had any with mine after 11000 klms. In the south we had shit roads, and though a scooter is not ideal on this type of road, mine has taken the worse beating and still looks and runs like new.
i agree they need a new look and they dont use Led much...the shops I have seen customize the head light to put in a projector beam that looks like a BMW car light with the 'halo' into the place of the factory lights,,even on the new ones like the 'King Racing'.
The Peugeot are crazy expensive!
Mahindra also purchased a 70% share in 2011 of SsangYong. They buy poor performers at a discount.
The Peugeot website is ridiculously better then it was a year ago.
Their DJANGO is a stylish little scooter.
