Superbyke RSR 125 starting problems
Hello,
As the title says I have a Superbyke RSR 125 and it won't start! (2008)
It tries to turn over but will not kick into life.
I've tried with the battery connected to my car's whilst running and with the addition of 'Easy Start' but no joy. 'Easy Start' makes it jump but just dies once the alcholol is burned off.
Is starting a known issue with these bikes?
Are there any common causes you could point me towards first please before I look at a garage?
It's got plenty of fuel. It was standing for a few months since last start-up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!
Re: Superbyke RSR 125 starting problems
Start with the basics - do you get a spark if you take the plug out and lay it against the head while trying to start it ? Does it have side stand switch or kill switch stopping you getting a spark ? Is the fuel getting through ? - though it should start and run for a few second on easystart if you have a spark and compression .

Based on what you said about it only starting with the easy start thing I'd say that there's something wrong with your carburettor. Check for and obvious leaks in the intake manifold, make sure that fuel is actually getting to your carb, turn the idle screw all the way in (the one on the bottom of the carb which is almost impossible to access) then turn it 2.5 turns out, open up your carb and make sure that nothing is blocked up espessially the idle jet.
