Hi, i have the same bike and question, i have looked into it and as far as i know it can be done, but it would be costly, as you would need new rear wheel/hub, disk, caliper, pads, brake/master cylinder, brake pipe, pads, mounting bracket maybe more bits, but im sure someone with more experience of both drum and disk models can shed more light and more helpful info!

There's some universal rear drum 2 disk kit in China for "lazy guys" LiNK
I am also looking for a conversion kit for my pulse as my rear drum brake is useless!
To fix a rear disk you need to change the swingarm and hub as well as add a rear master cylinder. Considering the cost and effort, one could argue it's not worth it.
I would suggest being sure your rear drums are properly adjusted... especially after buying it new. Lots of parts will stretch and settle after a few hundred miles/kms.

To be honest, my interest in a conversion is cosmetic, i find it looks alot better, the drum is quite effective as long as you dont just slam your heel onto the pedal, use it gradually like the brake lever, or it will just lock..... Skidding - there is a time and a place hehe!

i admit that the drum looks old messy and useless but get some race ebc drum shoes on it from a dr200 or something and itll be very capable, atm im doing a full supermoto conversion but im keeping the drum due to not having a master cylinder bracket and the price to function ratio just doesnt add up
I agree it sounds odd, and i too didnt think it would be nessacary, but if you look at the drum assembly, you can see the drum slides on the the swing arm, so it is probable that you would have to swap it, so the arm doesnt foul the disk assembly.
