XF200 New Fender and Crack
hi all,
I'm new to this and am trying to figure out ways to get my xf200 better. So far I have gotten rid of the long rear fender(tag braket) and customized a new mount which still isnt what I want! Also I have a MAJOR problem with vibration on the rear fender! It has vibrated a large crack into the top rear fender! All in all the bike is Great! its my first street bike, I have been racing dirtbikes since i was 5 (20 now!) here are some pics of the new tag bracket and the crack from vibration.... Has any one else had this probel with the rear fender?? This is the second rear fender for this bike! :scooter:

Re: XF200 New Fender and Crack
Bubba,
Welcome to the forum. I had two versions of this bike (the enduro model) in China and took it over some crazy roads with no signs of cracking. I think the problem may be the motards could use a painted plastic which is prehaps a little more brittle. Check for over tightened screws.
The enduros use an extremely strong and felxible color-in-plastic. If you can replace the back plastic from one of the enduro models, you may solve your problems although the colors may not be the same (hard to go wrong with black though).
Let us know how it goes!

Re: XF200 New Fender and Crack
The plastics on my Kinlon are made out of old chinese newspapers stuck together with only hopes and prayers. The plastics on the tank are cracking everywhere, both sides below the seat have cracked through... shame but what can you do?

Start up a fibreglass molding shop in your garage and make custom panels? :icon10:

I took the rear fender off my XF200 and coated all the mounting points with JB weld epoxy and then filled the top side crack with more JB epoxy and it has heald up for a few months since fix. Look in the modifications section for a post from Cab4less and you will see pictures of the underside of fender. I also drilled a hole in top side of fender and ran a bolt through to bracket on underside to keep both pieces togther and reuce vibration. Hope this helps. Florida larry
