Sanya, Hainan - rented bike
This is not so much a ride report as a tip for people visiting Sanya. I found a little bike rental shop when i was there and thought i'd share the knowledge. It's on the little streets behing dadonghai beach and can be found easily enough as there's a sign outside. They have a few scooters and motorbikes, ranging from 100 to 150cc. They told me they also have a CB400, but it wasn't available while i was there. If you want the phone number you can PM me.
2015 update: the number no longer works, please go to this post for a more recent one:

I rented an ordinary 125cc Honda and it did just fine, for 100 kuai a day. I spent most of my time on dirt roads in the mountains behind Sanya. There are also some nicely paved roads in the mountains but i a/ found them too late and b/ would have preferred the CB400 for them. The region around Sanya is well worth exploring, having a bike just makes it a lot easier...

Nice photos and mini report! Are those black squares in the water for fish or something?

Re: Sanya, Hainan - rented bike
I presume they are yeah, as there were a bunch of little seafood restaurants near there; i didn't get a chance to walk around and check though...
Re: Sanya, Hainan - rented bike
Felix,
Thanks for that info. Last time I was on Hainan, I rented a car in Sanya to drive into the interior. It was a good drive, but would have been a great ride! I'll file away this tidbit for my next visit.
