Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Hey Gang,
I've recently received some images from Shineray that I presume are of their European/North American export specifications and style in both the enduro and motard version.

Here we have an image of the X2 in moto-cross trim with a curious sticker on the left side of the swingarm. Maybe our north of the border folks here in the US could help us out with this one!!! :mwink:

But wait, there's more! To really go neck and neck with the Japanese, Shineray decided to take this bike one step further and make it transform into a robot which will not only cook your food and teach your class but also fight your battles for you. I'd pay 3,000 bucks for that! :icon10:

China-Motoformers.... more than meets the eye! <lazer! lazer! lazer!> :icon10:

The Mid west motorsports is the dealer in Western Canada ( alberta ) that is carrying the bikes. There are a lot of china bike dealers in Alberta.
There are a lot of people with oil cash in Alberta to get into ventures. The moneys been large in Alberta until recently so a lot of people spend they mondo cash on toys.
They have it listed as a competion motorcycle and it is avail in 250 and a 450 cc size.Very sharp looking bike and retail in the 5500$ canadian range.

Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Just saw the 250 cc model just down the street here in Shanghai. They had 2 supermotos and 1 enduro version. 19,500 rmb for the supermoto version. They also had a longmarch in olive green and some sort of standard with the 250 engine. Going back tomorrow, might take picks.
Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Please do! I know the Long March was for sale in China before I left but sales seemed pretty slow then. Hope it's doing better now.

Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Hi, has anyone heard anything from X2 owners? Are there any reviews out there? They've been on the market for a while now...
i'm pretty interested in a (legal) more powerful alternative to my XTR, but most chinese bikers i spoke to told me to stay away from chinese water-cooled bikes. what do you guys think?
Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Did they say why you should stay away from the watercooled bikes? There's a fellow in teh UK who got his paws on an X2 for import testing. Can't quite remember his name though I'm sure a search on MCM will dig it up. He's got some video as well.
Far as I know, no one has legally purchased and registered one in China. It been around long enough you'd hope it's been certified and is register-able. Maybe you can be the first!

Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
Shineray has been posting over on ADV Rider (some serious China bike hate over there), he has some photos of the "first guy" to legally register the X2. Felix, it's still a 250, I doubt it's going to perform that much better than your Galaxy as the power to weight is very close.
Sure wish QingQi would get their 250 approved here, it completely blows the doors off any of the other 200-250cc bikes I've ridden in China.
Cheers!

Re: Shineray X2 Export spec pics
you're probably right, i think my XTR puts out about 18hp, the X2 is rated at 24. It's not massive...
as for registration, it's legal here. i bumped into one on the roads around anji which was all legally registered. unfortunately he was in a hurry and couldn't hang around to tell me about it... he did, however, pull off faster than me.
