Those pivot pegz things are designed and made in Oz, I had a look recently at direct purchase from the manufacturers site - $240 plus shipping ... and they didn't bother answering my email to see if they knew if they would go on a Kinlon as they have different designs for different machines. Bloody hell at that price I hope you find something on TaoBao - yet in the USA from a quick Google they can be as little as $140 and free shipping, how the hell does that work, nearly hgalf price in another country and you would think there were taxes and duties included in that? It is far cheaper for me to buy them in USA and pay for shipping!!! Someone in Aus is making a LOT of money out of Aussie motorcyclists as usual.
Thus I suggest if you really want the branded ones get a mate in the USA to buy them for you!

US$140 seems way too expensive. basic pegs in china are maybe 50 rmb. not sure where ChinaV got those deluxe rubber-top pegs, but i doubt they were more than 100 rmb. i'm not seeing them in taobao. I'm searching for 摩托车 脚蹬.

I can't see what deluxe about the pegs ChinaV shows in his post. He says he found them at the Guangzhou bike market. Following felix's taobao link (search for the term 脚踏) i found this. Seems to be the same as ChinaV's. But thinking about it, i will get into muddy situations sometimes, and that rubber footpeg could be slippery. I'll see if I can find a way to switch between padded and bare metal footpeg. Maybe gutting a tennis ball is smarter than spilling $140USD. Put tennis ball on, peg is padded, tennis ball off in muddy situations... something like that.

I found a set that is similar to the ones that Kawasaki uses on it's 250 Ninja. I am very happy with the amount of vibration that is cut down. There are types that allow you to remove the rubber part for trail riding also. An example is here;

Convertible footpegs seem to be a wise solution for a dual sport.
The newest Jialing JH600 comes with a standard metal cage, but my 2009 model has a dual-use (dual sport?) pedal where the rubber insert can be yanked out to leave a metal cage peg. It looks like less surface area than the peg on the 2010 models, and I've never actually done the conversion, but it's nice to know the option is there. I've never slipped off my rubber inserts in all my riding, which included a lot of mud and rain.
I suspect the material and pattern used in your boot sole are both an important factor too. I'll never ride without my proper Daytona boots or similar. I have no idea how "street shoes" would work, and don't intend to try.
