2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
was trawling through alibaba looking at dirtbikes as you do and found this for sale a supposedly 50cc LC 2 stroke Galaxy XTR probably and looks to be running a Chinese made Minarelli AM6 replica engine obviously the picture is a really badly photoshopped image as i know from personal and working experience that engine could not fill up that engine compartment in the same way as the AC 223cc engine does plus the exhaust in the picture has no expansion chamber but would be interesting to see if it is actually made with all the appropriate dimensions and engine characteristics of a 2 stroke exhaust wise that is.

Attachment 5594it will probably be like this 2 stroke 50 built by bashan or those built by Dafier Hanway which get rebadged as AJS over here, its quite interesting the rise in 2 stroke 50cc supermoto's and enduros from china its something i truly miss the blue haze on a cold morning and the sound of hornets from the rear

'Oldgringo' on chinariders.net posted this the other day from Keeway:

Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
iv seen a few of those keeway 50 SM's about back at college theres a much better looking version of it which is austrian designed body work the thing about these Generic/Keeway 2 strokes are that the engines are european built predominantly badged as Derbi which use Minarelli engines, and those, APollo,Hyeng 50 SM, Hanway and Bashan use a 100% chinese built replica of the AM6 engine
Attachment 5617these chinese built but with european design bikes are really cheap compared to those designed and made in the EEC naturally only problem is the electrics which i know from a friend 2 years back had to rely on the kickstarter much of the earths werent all great, if i personally knew these chinese built 2 strokes were around when i was getting a 50cc at 16 i would of gotten one sorted it out and run it like a dream.

Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
it seems to be its somoto making the little 50cc XTR,
http://www.somoto.cn/productshow.asp?id=159 heres the link for what they advertise it as
i contacted somoto to gert a few images of what the bike actually looks like and its not bad sadly it isnt the 223cc engine with a expansion champer in the exhaust as shown by there website, also its called the GTX instead of XTR the original image at the top of the page shows a minarelli AM^ looking engine but these engine show a somewhat Piaggio LC 50 engine which is very similiar to the minarelli engine even being able to share cylinder and pistons but has slight differences in its deisgn and gearing to suit Piaggio's bikes

Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
its exhaust layout is very similiar to the CPI SM50 apart from it carrying on and exiting just below the seat

Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
I'm with Nima; that pipe is a tragedy, though it looks like a comedy. Surely that's the last place you want your exhaust pipe to be on a little minimotard like this. One hard impact with a rock or a log, and you'll be riding pipeless! Weird.
Otherwise it looks like a fun little bike.
cheers!
Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
that would make more problems in rainy days ...heat ... smoke ... and all shiny looks will damage
my self dont like any thing under the engine

Re: 2 Stroke Galaxy XTR 50cc SM?
hmm if you look up race exhausts for AM6/piaggio D50B0 50cc supermoto's like the DT50/sx50 especially yasuni ones most are underslung as it exits the exhaust gasses quicker all race 2 strokes have them as straight out as possible its only if its a enduro in which they will properly get it curled round the engine and out near the seat, the exhaust on the enduro version isnt ideal but most people change for a race pipe anyways there are some that do curl round and exit under the seat but these are a improvement in performance but are still abit hindered compared to underslung exhausts
