Benelli will be launching the 250 Motard the second half of 2012, Developed by Benelli QJ for emerging markets, it will be first offered in Italy. The engine is a compact, highly modern single-cylinder with electronic fuel injection and timing system with overhead double camshaft and 4 valves. Max. power is a generous 25 HP (18 kW) at 9000 rpm, the 21 Nm (2.1 kgm) torque at 7000 rpm. These are numbers that
signify performance, super quick throttle response, a constant torque at all speeds.

The frame utilizes high-strength tubular steel that wraps around the single-cylinder
engine. The swingarm relies on progressive leverages attached to the single central shock
absorber. The upside-down fork has generously sized fork sliders to guarantee precision
and stability in all riding conditions. The attention to safety and performance is
epitomized by the braking system, with a 280 mm front disc and twin-piston floating
caliper, and with the rear disc measuring 238 mm diameter, it too featuring a twin-piston
caliper. The 17” aluminium alloy rims mount 100/80-17 and 130/70-17 tyres. The tank has

The dry weight comes in at only 132 kg, guarantee of the easy and immediate approach
taken with the Motard 250, a bike created to draw younger people to the world of
motorcycling, but that maintains an identity as a fun bike for even the most dynamic
riders.

The Motard 250 comes in only white and will be available the second
half of this year. The price, sure to be very competitive, is still being defined.
