This is the one Im leaning toward so far. The Shinko 244. I think it looks like a good all weather/terrain tire. Its a front/rear tire and comes in several sizes of 17".

Re: Qlink XF - Knobby Tire Picture Request
I am surprised no-one picked up on this thread, a few of the guys know their way around tyres and that bike. Sorry about that mate and it was a helpful intro too. So a belated welcome from me Zugzug! try an intro in the new members section and perhaps someone will say g'day, folk here are usually quite helpful and interested, you got a bad day!

Re: Qlink XF - Knobby Tire Picture Request
I have used that type of tires in winter and in Finland you most commonly see people using that type of tires in winter and not enduro knobbies. But if you have snow there then you "need" those little metal spike things in tires, don't know what is the right word for them. Without them things can be very slippery lol.
Had I chosen to ride through this winter I would had bought that type of tires with little metal spikes.
Re: Qlink XF - Knobby Tire Picture Request
The tires with metal spikes are illegal here in the states. Of couse you can buy them on line in put them on the tires.
I ride all year but when its too bad to ride to work then work is usually shut down for the day anyway. Since springs just around the corner I'm gonna put some miles on the stockers and buy the all terrain tires in the fall.
Re: Qlink XF - Knobby Tire Picture Request
Be careful on the size of the rear if you go with a knobby. I had a flat on the rear the other day and that stock rear tire is hard to get off and on the bike. It's a tight fit. I had to jack the bike up real high and remove the lower chain guide to get it out of there. When I replace the rear some day, I think I'm going a size down.
