Any advice on drive Motorbike travell through China to Pakistan

Good day all

I am planning to take a motorbike travel from Perth Australia, Singapore, thailand, Laos, then enter China, and travelling through China to Pakistan

I am planning to start from early Sept 2013 and arrived at Pakistan in early Nov 2013.

Could you please give me any advice on:

How to bring Motorbike into CHIna? and then leave China?
How to get a permission to drive motoebike through China? ( my license is Australian).
any other information you can advice on take motorbike tour through CHina?

As far as I'm aware China is not possible without a guide, and the guides are very expensive.
