Riding/driving out of China to Europe

Hello all,

I had a consideration to buy a pickup truck in China and drive to U.K. via Mongolia, Russia, EU.
Visas excepted.
The truck would be brand new, registered and documented in my name, with local Weifang licence plates, also I have a full Chinese car and bike licence.

When I spoke to my wife (CN) about this, she told me that an ATA would be required.
Also a deposit would be required.

I would have no plan to drive back to CN.
What if any implications would I run up against at the Erenhote / Zammin Uud border control between Mongolia and Inner Mongolia?
