pulse adrenaline 125cc project-plans
hi there, new to the forum,
i'm looking to buy a pulse adrenaline 125cc bike towards september, it is going to be a project of mine and i want to get the maximum out of the bike.
i have researched some earlier forums, but they only talk about engine swaps (which i do plan, but i wish to do more)
i'm looking for a new 200cc engine that isn't expensive, aswel as a 250cc big bore kit for it.
i'm looking for new tyres as i have heard the ones currently on the bike are pretty poor
a new front sprocket (apparently 16t will be best)
new handlebars
new exhaust
budget of around £2500-3000 for the bike and upgrades.
thanks, luke.
Re: pulse adrenaline 125cc project-plans
If your going to spend 3k then why not just get a stock 250cc in the first place?
If you still want to go ahead with it you might be better off with a 250cc engine instead of a 200 with big bore kit; I'm not 100% on this but the mounting holes on the 169FMM engine looks the same as the ones on the K157FMI which is the stock engine on the pulse adrenaline and as a bonus the K157FMI sells for about £500 new so you could sell that and recover most of the costs for the 250cc engine. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7888501512
If you want a 17 tooth sprocket for the stock K157fmi engine I have a couple for sale here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280836052054
Re: pulse adrenaline 125cc project-plans
Hey thanks for your help, how much is that 250 engine in gbp? I only have my phone for internet at the minute, and theres no translation. Also, is there a restrictor on the bike?
Re: pulse adrenaline 125cc project-plans
The engine costs £178 plus £20 postage which sounds amazing but you still have to pay 10% to a taobao agent and the postage from china to uk is roughly £300 for a 30kg package, I am trying to find a cheaper way to have one delivered. Your bike is not restricted, do not be fooled by performance or de-restricted CDI units.
Edit: oh yeah you need a carberettor for the engine aswell which I belive are sold in the uk. There was a simular 250cc chinese engine on eBay for £300 a few weeks ago but the seller ran out of stock, it would be nice if some more came on ebay for the same price.
Re: pulse adrenaline 125cc project-plans
I'd be interested in the upgrade myself. The 125cc engine is fine for around city driving. I'm based in Ireland. If you can come up with a a cheaper way of getting them over to the UK/Ireland please let me know
The other option os putting in an NSR 125 2 stroke engine. It's about 25+ Bhp
