This Shineray XY150GY-B is basically a clone of an early 80s Honda XL 185. The bike comes with up graded rear drum brake and front disk brake. The bike also has a boxed steel swing arm and some nice racks to carry your stuff. This bike is available with a 150cc engine or a 200cc engine.
Here is the bike getting ready for this year's Takalamakan rally.

We should build a mychinamoto.com team to do it next year.
Actually I don't know all that much about it. It is even hard to find decent information in Chinese on it. Or maybe I just don't know where to look.
I'll ask the Shineray guys when they get back and I do have another friend in Beijing that is also in th rally this year.
The rally runs this week and goes around the world's second largest desert.
I'll try to find some more info on the route.
I was told that the entry fee is 15,000rmb per person.
