countyimports is the slowest merchant I have ever dealt with but hopefully everything in the long run was worth dealing with them.
The flat black really does make it look mean and I also angled the drag bars down to make it look even meaner =)
Next up is getting some exhaust wrap because that muffler gets crazy hot, I nearly burnt my leg through my pants!
I thought I was too stretched out just sitting on the bike but when I took it for a spin around the parking lot it felt really good and natural.
I cant wait for the MSO to come in already so I can get the tag on this thing and got for a nice 100 mile ride. I still havent even got the email from them telling me they received it so I doubt I will even have it till next week! That will make 6 weeks from the day I ordered this bike! That is unacceptable...
Sounds like you have a pretty big dog hehe
Mine is almost 8 years old now, when he was 1 year old he weighed 115 lbs and was/is nothing but muscle =)
If your even in my neck of the woods with your pup we can let them run a much on the beach =)
yea he's a big dummy all muscle but a dummy none the less, if I'm up in your neck of the woods dude we will be riding, no space for a BIG dog on these rides :lol8:
The bars, do you have an issue with them hitting the tank?
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
lol I feel ya, I really want to make a side car for this bobber so damn bad!
I would love to be able to pop my lil pup in there or my girl hehe
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Gardo,
When I had the drag bars on my DF there was not a problem with them hitting the tank because the DF has high bar risers.
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
Aboshi,
You could get a AOSOM bicycle cargo trailer to haul your pit bull.
I have one for my bikes in NC.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

I will wind up putting in the jet and changing the sprocket when it gets over 50F because I don't feel like freezing my nuts off =)
I will need to get a washer welded onto the piston of the brake master cylinder piston though because the lever barely touches the piston and I really wouldn't want it to slip off when trying to brake so the washer will make more surface room =)
I will also have to put a few washers where the screw holds the lever onto the mount.
So here is a quick walk around video (its in 1080p) and a few more pics.
I will get more video soon when I get the bike regged and I will go for a little joy ride =)
I did however rid it around the parking lot today and I have to say this thing has more balls then I thought it would!

I can picture that now haha =)
Ok I updated my post http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...ll=1#post23083
Thats for the gear ratio directly form the manual. After plugging in all that info there is no way in hell with stock gearing it would get anywhere near 75mph!
The manual says max power is 11Kw at 6500 RPM (that is just under 15HP at 6500 RPM) so even with a 13/35 thats only a top speed of 68 MPH at 8000 RPM so something seems fishy to me.

Sounds very similar overall gearing to my CCM /Loncin Dual sport 230 - at max power 8,500RPM I should be doing 72mph according to my maths . The difference "seems" to be that my ohc motor is supposed to develop max HP at 8500rpm rather than your OHV motors 6500rpm ??? Gearing on mine is just fine off road but gives an effective top speed of about 50mph at the moment.......
Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information
can anyone who has one of these tell me just what is the top end speed. thanks, RW
