No rust on my DF but I don't live on salt water or salted roads.
I sure am happy with my DF. no rust issues. I do love to tinker with it. only have 100 miles on it.
reporon,
Welcome but the rule here according to the moderators is that your bike doesn't exist without photos.:icon10:
The DF and the Heist is fun and easy to tinker with since it doesn't have all that plastic in the way.
What modifications have you done to your DF? I'm always looking for ideas to steal.
good morning barnone, went with a smaller rear sprocket and drag bars. tried to go with new grips but i crushed the throttle tube, so Im waiting for a replacement. sorry no pics yet. I have the flat black one. I do need to get some saddelbags. at first it was hard getting used to a 250 compared to the 1520 valkyrie interstate. the more I play with it the better I like it! I do need to get more miles on her. Thank you guys for all the helpful info from this site. RW
Out to the ranch to say goodbye to the beefs before heading to NC for the summer.

They don't seem too sad to see me go.:lol8:
Barnone,
Is there a reason that you are riding with only one saddle bag now? Was the exhaust pipe too close?
Aboshi,
I would like to see how bad the rust is. (I take back my comment about everything rusting there. It does, but this would be from only being there for a month).
The bike was rusted within 48 hours when it was raining, and it has a waterproof cover on it.
This is now 1 month in and I had even polished the spokes with the turtle-wax metal polish that is supposed to protect against this and it didn't help one bit.
I want to add I have lived in this spot my entire life and have never see something rust out this fast, not even bicycles :P
