I agree it sounds odd, and i too didnt think it would be nessacary, but if you look at the drum assembly, you can see the drum slides on the the swing arm, so it is probable that you would have to...

To be honest, my interest in a conversion is cosmetic, i find it looks alot better, the drum is quite effective as long as you dont just slam your heel onto the pedal, use it gradually like the brake...

Hi, i have the same bike and question, i have looked into it and as far as i know it can be done, but it would be costly, as you would need new rear wheel/hub, disk, caliper, pads, brake/master...
